Walking the Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight is a walker’s paradise, filled with over 500 miles of footpaths across contrasting landscapes and beaches, making it the ideal place for a walking holiday or break

With a great range of walking routes it is possible to access almost every nook and cranny of the Island on foot, including many of our interesting towns and villages

This extensive network of footpaths can take you from a gentle meander along rural tree lined paths to longer challenging hikes over open fields and chalk downs

The Isle of Wight’s varied countryside offers fields, forests and woodland, providing the perfect complement to our 64 miles of coastal paths which cover rocky coves, estuaries, and dramatic cliff tops

Visit Wight have created some new trails for all the family which take in the stunning scenery and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Experience Pure Island Happiness and check out the trails below

For more information about these routes, including bus stops and a map, you can download a PDF of the walk under each description
