America Woods
Unusually for the Isle of Wight, most of this woodland is high oak forest with downy birch
Its a great place in the Spring to see the stunning display of bluebells, that blanket the woodland floor
The storms of 1987 and 1990 have created open sections gradually reverting to woodland.
Numerous badger setts have been reported and red squirrels occasionally spotted
